This project in Wimbledon involved intricate design & build.
As always, The Green Kiwi met with the client prior to the project starting to discuss design ideas, amendments of diagrams, materials selection and choice etc.
The Green Kiwi team then started by removing all existing turf so that a ‘blank canvas’ was created. Numerous string-lines were then put in-place to mark out the exact location of each pathway as seen below. The sandstone pathways were designed and constructed at 45 degrees from the centre pathway and returning at 45 degrees leaving linear shaped beds ready for planting by the client.
Two ‘planters’ were constructed from granite blocks and dark mortar which were filled with compost ready for flowers and shrubs to be planted.
An arch was erected at the bottom of the garden leading onto a turfed area complete with a patio area with arbor.
We are looking forward to returning to see the garden when it is planted and in its full glory!
